In their third film together, 1998's You've Got Mail, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan star as Joe Fox and Kathleen Kelly, two strangers who develop a friendship by corresponding anonymously online. As it stands, though neither realizes it, Joe is the man trying to put Kathleen's independent bookstore out of business. Online, the pair get along great and even begin to develop feelings for one another, but in person, the two butt heads. Needless to say, things get complicated when their internet personas agree to meet in person!
