Why Flying Tiger Will Be Your New Favorite Store
We want to buy every single thing from the new Flying Tiger Copenhagen store in New York, and we could almost afford to. The Danish design store, known as Tiger in Europe, opened its first store in the United States this month, and we're already obsessed.
Tiger first opened overseas in 1995 and has more than 400 locations all over the world, including the newest one in NYC's Flatiron district. We like to call it Ikea meets dollar store, with colorful and edgy Danish design infused into everyday staples like kitchenware, office supplies, and household accents.
A whopping 90 percent of the items are priced below $15, but you'll find just as much stuff you want for $5 or less. Tiger keeps costs down by manufacturing almost everything in house in Copenhagen. Better yet, the inventory is refreshed every single month. Read on for 38 of our favorite finds from the NYC store.
