Dakota Keeps Celebrating and Smiling Before New Moon
Dakota Fanning spent yesterday afternoon snacking with friends at a Johnny Rockets in LA — shop her look here. She has reason to take it easy and celebrate a little after being crowned homecoming princess over the weekend. The exciting times aren't set to stop anytime soon for Dakota, as the release of New Moon is only a few weeks away.
Dakota Goes From Homecoming Princess to Twilight Star
Dakota Fanning took the field to perform with her cheerleading squad before being named homecoming princess Friday night in LA. She smiled big and proudly donned her tiara with a football player on her arm. It's her second year as a high school cheerleader, and this season Dakota probably has a few envious squad mates since she landed her role in the Twilight saga movies — and got to hang out with shirtless Robert Pattinson in Italy, for example.
Dakota Takes a Break From Work on Eclipse
Dakota Fanning was on the go earlier today as she caught a flight out of the Vancouver airport. She's been up in Canada for the past few weeks working hard on Eclipse, though she's had time to take breaks and explore the city. There are only about 50 days until we get to see her in action when New Moon hits theaters, but for now we'll have to be content with the new posters for the film and our sneak peek at Dakota as the vampire Jane.
The Latest New Moon Posters — Which Is the Hottest?
As if we weren't already excited about New Moon, three new posters from the movie have been released! In one we see Edward holding Bella tight — and rumor has it they are attached at the hip in real life as well. Another has Taylor Lautner's Jacob, who didn't go shirtless but shows off his arm muscles with his wolf pack, while the third shows Dakota's Jane leading the Volturi.
Highlights of Our Very Twilight Summer!
The sun may have been shining, but cloudy Forks, WA, was never far from our minds this Summer. The cast of Twilight was everywhere and we couldn't get enough! With Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and the rest of the cast back in Vancouver filming Eclipse and New Moon coming soon, there's lots more fun in our future.

The Eclipse Cast Breaks For the Weekend
The Eclipse stars spread out between LA and Vancouver in a weekend that was a little more low-key than last Saturday's maybe-kissing festivities. The actors enjoyed their time off from filming the third installment of the franchise, as producers shoot down rumors there will be two additional movies in the series. Ashley Greene, Xavier Samuel, and Bryce Dallas Howard walked around Canada while Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli and Dakota Fanning earned their frequent flier miles.
