Many an A-lister made the trek to Dubai today to celebrate the grand opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson traveled from London to join Sam's mother Ann Dexter-Jones, while Mischa Barton will show up anywhere there's a red carpet. The eclectic crew, which included Mary-Kate Olsen all draped in white, Gerard Butler, Charlize Theron, and Stuart Townsend, was treated to dinner and an elaborate performance from Kylie Minogue.

A-listers were out in force last night for the lavish opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, with Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Mary-Kate Olson slipping on their gladrags. Us Brits were represented by a suave Gerard Butler, glittering Agyness Deyn and graceful Lily Allen, who left the balloons at home and accessorised with Rhys Ifans and a reported £5 million of Chopard jewellery. Wowzers. 
A while ago I said I hated taupe. Times change. I especially thought it wasn't a flattering color on blondes.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen continued to promote Influence at a Borders autograph signing in Westwood yesterday. The girls looked like they were having a blast together as they laughed and each displayed the book with themselves on the cover, ignoring the PETA protesters outside. Ashley took a turn with the black YSL pumps as MK kept it funky with her cutout black boots.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen arrived at LAX in separate cars a few hours apart yesterday on their way out of town. The blond twins were both incognito, but it's hard to miss MK in her drapey clothing and Ashley with her big Starbucks. MK and Ashley have been making the rounds promoting Influence and earlier this week Mary-Kate made an awesome guest appearance on Samantha Who?.

We've already seen Nicole Richie on Chuck and Katie Holmes on Eli Stone, and next week, it'll be Mary-Kate Olsen's turn. The actress is popping up on ABC's Samantha Who? as Natalie, a troubled young woman whose life Samantha decides to turn around.
In the episode, Samantha has an altercation with a police officer that ends with her getting community service, where she meets Natalie, who's apparently an unrepentant thief.

Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend Nate Lowman had a leisurely lunch together in NYC yesterday afternoon. MK looked especially small draped in her scarf with her knees tucked up for her romantic outdoor meal. Mary-Kate may be done promoting her book release for the time being, but we'll get to see more of her on Monday night.
