Hours before the 2017 Academy Awards got underway, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara re-created a romantic moment from La La Land in his own very solitary way. In a video shared to Instagram, Manolo twirls by himself in front of the famous Griffith Observatory as music from the Oscar-nominated movie plays in the background. In La La Land, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone sneak into the Los Angeles site at night and have a fantastical date.

In his caption, Manolo implies that he will be rooting for the movie, writing, "Y'all know where my sympathies lie." The timely video is one of Manolo's many funny moments on social media.
