Dove's Love Your Hair Campaign Video

Dove's New Campaign Is a Powerful Reminder to Love Your Strands

Dove campaigns have a way of making all women feel good about themselves, and the brand's latest #LoveYourHair initiative is equally inspiring. The mission? To get every woman to feel good about their hair no matter what color, texture, or style they choose for themselves.

In a short video, women describe all the societal pressures they face from choosing to wear or color their strands a certain way. Dove responds that it's time to broaden the definition of beautiful hair by celebrating ALL hair types. It's empowering to see a company stand behind us women and our desire to do what we want with our manes — especially since we're big advocates for trying whatever new style trend strikes your fancy.

So, if you're Asian and want to go blond, go for it. If you have curly hair and want to straighten it, do it! And if you love your hair just the way it is without dye or blowouts (sadly, Dove discovered only 11 percent of women do), own it.

We're sure you'll agree that celebrating your natural texture and color is uplifting. It's also refreshing to stop worrying about what everyone else thinks of your style . . . because, at the end of the day, those strands belong to you and you alone.
