DIY Drybar's New Lazy-Girl Blowout
Today Drybar is doing something it hasn't done since it opened: the express hair salon megachain is adding a new blowout style to its menu. This is major news for Drybar fans — and we know there are plenty of them out there, since every time we go to book an appointment, there are very few spots (darn you, type-A folks!). The new blowout style will be cleverly dubbed The Dirty Martini, and as its name suggests, the 'do is meant to look like perfectly imperfect slept-in waves (think Alexa Chung or Blake Lively as the celebrity hair inspiration).
"Messy, tousled 'undone' hair has become such a requested look (and one of my personal favorites!), so I was anxious to incorporate this style into our lineup!" said Drybar founder Alli Webb. "There is definitely a time for a perfectly polished blowout, but I think we all have a little Dirty Martini in us too!"
Weeks before the Dirty Martini blowout launched, I tested out the look and scored exclusive tips on how you can re-create it at home. The good news? It's pretty easy for anyone with some hot tools experience to try. So grab your curling iron and some texturizing spray, and keep reading!
