This Is the Easiest Way to Draw a Flawless Cat Eye Like Lauren Conrad

After seeing all of the Spring 2015 trends on the runways, the one that stood out for real girls was the cat eye. And yes, you've probably seen it before, but if you're still having difficulty executing the fancy flick, then fret no more. We scored two supereasy cat-eye hacks from makeup artist Neil Scibelli.
The makeup maven used one key product: Eyeko Alexa Chung Lash Enhancing Eye Do Eyeliner ($19). Yes, as the name suggests, it's a liquid eyeliner pen created by Alexa Chung, who is known for wearing the checkmark style. But she's not the only one — this eyeliner shape has been worn for centuries. After you brush up on the history of the cat eye, read on to learn how you can create an everyday-glam Lauren Conrad-inspired look and then add drama to it by making it more of a modern Cleopatra style. Two sharp eyeliner looks await ahead!
Step 1, Look 1: Lauren Conrad
Start with a clean lid. Use an eye shadow base and a neutral color to make the skin on your lid look even, which will help your cat eye to pop. Create a point or dot with your eyeliner in the spot between your lash line and the end of your eyebrow. The dot should go right in the center of that imaginary diagonal line. This is a guideline for how far out your wing will go.

Make a second point at the lash line that's about two-thirds away from your inner-eye corner. Connect the two dots with eyeliner.

Draw a second line from the higher point to the end of your lash line, creating a triangle.

Fill in the triangle with the liquid eyeliner. Wait for it to dry, because if you open your eye too quickly, it will smudge. Another tip is to hold down your lashes while you're drawing on the cat-eye line. Many people's eyes flinch when they try this, and this will help reduce that.

Messed up a bit? No worries. Just dip a cotton swab in makeup remover and erase the makeup fails. Use a pointed cotton swab rather than a rounded one to get a more precise line.

Finish by lining the rest of your top lashes. Work toward the inner corner, creating short, flat strokes. Stay as close to the lash line as possible because you can always build a thicker line on top of that.

Build on your cat eye by touching your eyeliner to that original point you made on your face (see Step 1, Look 1). Draw a line connecting that dot to the end of your lower lash line, so you're creating another triangle at the end of your eye. Fill in the triangle with eyeliner to get a bigger, fuller check-mark shape.

Drag the eyeliner across your lower lash line right between the lashes. You don't want to aim too far under. Pull it across until you get to the inner corner.
