Kacey Musgraves Has Come an Incredibly Long Way in the Beauty Department Since 2007

Debuting on USA Network's reality show Nashville Star, Musgraves looked every bit the country girl next door with natural tones and softly waved hair.

At the 2012 CMT Artists of the Year celebration, Musgraves embraced some chestnut highlights and a bit more eyeliner but still kept to a neutral palette.

With hot pink lips and earrings to match, Musgraves moved into bolder beauty choices at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala.

Musgraves took the whole "coordinating outfit and makeup" concept to a new level at the Academy of Country Music Awards. While her hair was sleek and simple and her lips stayed neutral, she matched the icy blue of her dress to her eye shadow, rimming them completely in pale blue shadow.

The singer went with simple elegance for the Grammy Awards, with her hair swept back into a low chignon and a light, girlie makeup palette in neutrals and pinks.

Musgraves went with a classic glam look for the CMA Awards, with softly waved hair, bold lashes, and a pop of color with coral lipstick.

With cotton-candy lips to match her dress, a touch of bright eye shadow at the corners of her eyes, and a fishtail braid, Musgraves looked light and bright at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards.

Going a little more casual for a store opening event, she still made a statement with cranberry red lips that matched her pants.

Musgraves was the picture of holiday glamour at the CMT Country Christmas event, with holly-red lips as the focal point of an Old Hollywood-inspired look.

For the 2016 CMA Awards, the singer chose a sleek chignon paired with dramatic eyes and a rich plum lipstick that pulled in the lavender tones from her gown.

Musgraves went girlie glam with her look for the pre-Grammys gala. Tweaking a smoky eye with some pink highlights and bold brows, her makeup and sleek hair were spot-on coordinating with her pink-and-black outfit.

To go with a statement gown, Musgraves went with fairly low-key makeup and hair, just pulling in a hint of the coppery-bronze tones in her eye shadow.

Musgraves continued one of her style hallmarks at the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscars party: coordinating her makeup palette with her outfit. In this case, that meant coppery eye shadow and a beige lip to play off of her draped copper gown.

For the 2019 Met Gala, themed "Camp: Notes on Fashion," Musgraves embraced her inner Barbie — literally. With a wavy blond wig, spot-on contouring, and hot pink lips to match her outfit, she nailed the picture of a particularly glam Barbie doll come to life.
