How I Finally Healed 12 Years of Highlighting My Hair
I had grown up with hairstylists and strangers regularly stopping me to touch my thick waves, but in the last few years, this sort of hair attention had dissipated. I grew up in South Florida, a region of the country where bright blond reigns supreme, and I've been highlighting my seriously thick locks for over 12 years. While my life in San Francisco has been seriously stripped down (I rarely spend money on expensive beauty products and almost never blow-dry my hair), I'm not willing to give up my regular hair-color appointment.
Knowing that this dye devotion has probably damaged my mane made me jump at the opportunity to test out the new Kerastase Résistance Thérapiste. The line was released this Summer, and it promises to undo years of damage by renewing and reconstructing overprocessed, brittle, and severely damaged hair. After about eight weeks of regular use, I'm squeezing and pumping every last drop I can out of these tubes.
