Manny MUA and MAC Cosmetics Controversy April 2017
Manny MUA on MAC Influencer Collab: "I'm Honestly Frustrated and Disappointed"
Manny "MUA" Gutierrez is fired up and defending his fellow beauty bloggers. The influencer recently took to Twitter to call out MAC Cosmetics for allegedly failing to adequately promote its new lipstick collaborations with both Laura Lee and Gabriel Zamora. Although Manny wasn't directly involved with the collection, he felt the need to stand up for his influencer friends.
I'm honestly frustrated and disappointed with the lack of online promotion/love MAC showed to Laura and Gabby on their lipstick collab...

@MannyMua733 why aren't they plastered all over MAC's social media accounts congratulating them and promoting them? Seems a bit odd.

@MannyMua733 so happy I have the platform I have, atleast I can promote + share my loved ones accomplishments ❤️ @Laura88Lee @gabrielzamora

Some of Manny's fans chimed in on Twitter, pointing out that because it was an online-only collection, there should have been even more promotion on social media.
Not long after Manny slammed the brand for its "odd" lack of promotion, MAC shared a collection of photos on Instagram of Laura and Gabriel with their individual lipsticks, seen below. MAC also held a giveaway for the two influencer lipsticks.
Whether you believe Manny did the right thing by defending his friends or not, the attention he gave to the collection had powerful results: both Laura and Gabriel's lipsticks are now sold out online!
