These Brands All Launched in 2019, and They're Really Good

At POPSUGAR, we're all about testing new products, and this year, we were able to try a bevy from new beauty brands. This year was packed with launches, including new celebrity-founded lines, clean-beauty companies, and some with sustainable packaging. We were impressed with quite a few but have determined that these brands have made the biggest impact. Haven't tried them yet? It's time. These baby brands are worth nurturing.

Higher Education Skincare
Started with education in mind, Higher Education Skincare launched a line of clean and cruelty-free products aimed at Gen-Zers and millennials. Each product in the line has a cute name, like Double Major and Study Buddy. The brand also has a blog, allowing customers to understand the products and ingredients they're using.
The Good Stuff
The Good Stuff is a superunique brand featuring one sulfate-free shampoo and six leave-in conditioners. Each conditioner is meant to be left in your hair so it can continue to hydrate it throughout the day. Another cool part of the brand is the conditioners come in different forms — like a cream, foam, oil, milk, balm, and mist — according to your hair type.
Cai Para Mi
Caí Para Mi will be available at Target and CVS in February and was created with Latinas in mind. The affordable line has a range of olive, yellow, and brown undertones to match a wide range of skin tones. It also has a range of bold lip colors any daring makeup-lover would enjoy.
Then I Met You
Then I Met You launched with two Instagram-perfect products: the Living Cleansing Balm ($38) and the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel ($36). Together ($68), you can get off all makeup, pollution, and dirt that can lead to aging and breakouts. Plus, it won't irritate your skin because it's artificial-fragrance- and coloring-free.
Sweet Chef
Glow Recipe, the team behind your favorite watermelon mask, has just cooked up a new brand. Sweet Chef is designed to improve your complexion's radiance and health with superfood and vitamin combos like Kale + Vitamin B. So far, the line includes three serum shots and three sheet masks available at Target this January.
Seen
If you've ever noticed your skin breaking out along your hairline or back, the culprit might be your haircare products. Dermatologist Iris Rubin sought to remedy this problem by creating Seen, a haircare line that is completely noncomedogenic, meaning it won't clog pores. Unlike many other hair products, this line was created with the skin on your scalp and body in mind.
Kinship
Kinship doesn't just come in cute shelfie-ready bottles, it also has great cruelty-free products inside that will make your skin glow. There are so many fabulous aspects of this brand, but the best has to be the sustainable packaging made from postconsumer and ocean-waste plastics.
Pattern Beauty
Tracee Ellis Ross launched haircare line Pattern Beauty this year and gave those with curly, coily, and tight textures a series of products focused exclusively on their needs. The products are hydrating and come in jumbo-size bottles so you can use as much conditioner as you need for your coils.
Florence by Mills
Millie Bobby Brown launched Florence by Mills and gave no-makeup makeup fans a clean beauty brand to rave about. The cute purple packaging and fish-shaped eye gels also make it Instagram- friendly.
Squish Beauty
Body-positive activist Charli Howard launched Squish Beauty this year with the goal of helping people celebrate their skincare "imperfections." The line includes cute acne stickers you'll want to wear in public (and likely post online) and uses diverse models in its advertising.
Haus Laboratories
Lady Gaga finally launched her much-anticipated beauty brand this year, Haus Laboratories. The product line includes everything you'd expect from the theatrical celebrity, including bold glitters and high-shine glosses. Plus, the megastar also made it easy for her fans to get a hold of the products by launching it on Amazon.
The Right to Shower
The Right to Shower created a line of great-smelling bodycare products with an important mission. The brand believes that everyone should be able to have access to a shower and recognizes that many homeless people do not have access to one. That's why the brand has committed to donating 100 percent of its profits to mobile shower initiatives in its first year.
