Thanks to online retailers like Peach & Lily, we're able to purchase K-beauty products that would otherwise be somewhat hard to find in the United States. The site's founder, Alicia Yoon, tirelessly curates a really impressive range of items that include everything from foundation to snail goo and sheet masks galore. Now, seven years after its launch, Peach & Lily is giving birth to its own line.
As Allure first noticed, the store announced on Instagram that it will launch a skincare collection that's two years in the making. It all began when Alicia's sister got pregnant and wanted to use beauty products that would prevent melasma and work with her new hormonal changes. Though Alicia "scoured" through her site to give her sister recommendations, she didn't find quite what she was looking for. So she did the next logical thing — start her own brand!
Alicia wrote on her blog that her main goal was to produce clean beauty products that also happen to work really, really well. Details about the line are still hush-hush, but Alicia did reveal the first product: a Glass Skin Refining Serum ($39), which went on preorder for a hot second and now won't be sold until the rest of the line launches in June. The serum is made with peach extract, niacinamide, East Asian mountain yam, madecassoside, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, and promises to deliver "glassy, transparent, and poreless skin" — so we'll be bathing it in, basically.
Like the rest of the line's products, this option is nonscented and suitable for all skin types. We'll let you know more information when we have it.
