Not to bring down the mood, but summer is almost halfway over.

Typically, when I inevitably realize we're approaching the midpoint of the season, I lament over the sunny days behind us, knowing full well that my lightweight moisturizer and coral lipstick will soon be replaced with a heavy-duty cream and a wine-hued red.

I'm attempting to keep things a little bit more positive this year by instead using this fact as motivation to cross off warm-weather experiences from my bucket list and switch up my makeup routine with a few new fun summer looks. Why shouldn't I wear eyeliner to the beach?

Ahead, the makeup ideas I have committed to re-creating before summer's end.

Shimmery Lids and Brushed Up Brows

This balm-y, glittery makeup moment was created with the help of the e.l.f. Cosmetics Electric Mood Tove Lo Disco Glitz Brow and Eye Kit ($18), which includes an easy-to-blend sparkly silver paste that can be used on the face or body and a clear brow gel to create those feathery, brushed-up brows.

Matte Red Lips and Long Lashes

Long, voluminous lashes and matte red lipstick is one of my all-time favorite makeup pairings. According to a reel breaking down this look, makeup artist Ellise Ferguson used the Jen Atkin Xxtra Lip Duo in Red-y to Go ($8) and the e.l.f. Cosmetics Lash It Loud Volumizing Mascara ($6).

Metallic Graphic Eyes and Glossy Lips

I usually just lightly dab some cream shadow over my lids and call it a day, but this look is giving me a reason to break out my metallic eyeshadow palettes.
