Hailey Bieber Swaps Her Glazed Tips For "Supermodel" Nails

Is Hailey Bieber ushering in a new era? First, the bob haircut, and now this. On April 11, the model and entrepreneur posted a picture of her nails on her Instagram stories and instead of some variation of her now-famous glazed-doughnut manicure, Bieber was sporting "supermodel" nails.

The minimal '90s-inspired look was created by celebrity manicurist Dawn Sterling. Bieber's nails were filed into an oval shape and painted with a translucent-pink shade to give them that barely-there wash of color. The manicure was finished with a shiny topcoat to give it a glassy finish.

When Bieber isn't busy dominating the beauty industry with her skin-care line, Rhode, she is often seen gracing the pages of high-fashion magazines and modeling for campaigns, so this manicure feels particularly fitting. "Supermodel" nails were popular in the '90s and early '00s, as the sheer-pink color became the go-to for supermodels like Naomi Campbell. The trend picked up steam once more after celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik recreated it for Margot Robbie at the 2021 Oscars. Since then, celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Florence Pugh — among many, many more — have been seen in the look. It has become a staple for minimal beauty lovers everywhere.
