Heather Morris Got a Beautiful Tattoo in Naya Rivera's Honor, 1 Year After Her Tragic Death
Heather Morris is paying tribute to Naya Rivera on the first anniversary of the Glee star's death. On July 8, Morris revealed a new tattoo she got in honor of her best friend and costar: the words, "tomorrow is not promised" on her left arm. The phrase is from one of Rivera's final tweets last July before she tragically died by accidental drowning, in which she wrote, "no matter the year, circumstance, or strifes everyday you're alive is a blessing. make the most of today and every day you are given. tomorrow is not promised."
The script was tattooed by artist Carlos L. Garza at Iron & Ink in Los Angeles, as Morris shared while documenting the process behind getting the ink. "You are the brightest star in my eyes Naya Rivera," Morris wrote on Instagram alongside photos of Rivera and her new tattoo. "I'm so grateful GOD [LAID] A HAND and brought us together as best friends, mom friends, scene partners, and everything in between. Your legacy lives on in kindness and being 'that sassy queen' in my eyes. I love you forever bebe girl."
