Some people prioritize spring cleaning at the start of this season, but we prioritize revamping our beauty routines. The overhaul is top-down — from the hair colors we bring to the salon and the makeup looks we set out to try all the way to the colors we choose for our nails.
One of the best hues for spring this year? Lavender. This light purple shade has been seen all over the runways during Fashion Month and is currently trending as one of the most popular manicure colors of the season. "Lavender always invokes the feeling of spring for me," celebrity manicurist Elle Gerstein tells POPSUGAR. "It's a tranquil color."
The next-best thing about the shade? "Lavender is incredibly easy to wear," celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec tells POPSUGAR. "It's a nonboring neutral that still has some pizzazz." That means it can be worn as simply (like two coats of your favorite lavender nail polish) or dramatically (read: with glitter, as a negative-space design, at the tips of your french manicure, and beyond) as you'd like, and it would still look wearable for everyday.
