The hack: Use just bobby pins to get gorgeous curls
The pro tip: Traveling with all of your beauty tools can be a pain (and get pretty heavy!). That's why we love hairstylist Bridget Brager's quick take on pin curls. All you need are some bobby pins, hair spray, and the hotel room's blow dryer.
DIY it now: Take one-and-a-half-inch sections of clean, dried hair, and wrap them around two fingers angled vertically and close to your head. Once the hair is completely wrapped, secure it with a bobby pin. Finish by doing the rest of your mane, spritz it with a holding mist like Matrix Biolage Complete Control Fast Drying Hair Spray ($19), and blow-dry it to set the pin curls. Do your makeup while it cools. To finish, remove bobby pins, hose it down with hair spray again, and rake through the waves with your fingers to make it look more beachy.
Bonus: Sleep with hair in bigger pin curls to keep the shape overnight.
