Corporate-Approved Beauty Advice From Girl Bosses We Admire
12
The role model: Satya Twena, CEO of Satya Twena Fine Millinery, the last hat factory in NYC
Everyday beauty essential: Because Satya spends most of her days behind the scenes in her factory (think industrial-size sewing machines and hot ovens), her beauty philosophy is minimal. She uses Osea Malibu daily to keep her skin hydrated and clean.
Deskside beauty must have: At any given time, Satya could have six tubes of NARS Red Lizard lipstick ($27) on her person. It's her go-to shade for big meetings, and she loves to share her secret weapon with her girlfriends.
Confidence-boosting secret: "A hat. If you're a superhero it's like wearing a cape."
Best advice (ever): Satya's golden rule actually came from her significant other. "He said, 'If we are going to make this relationship work, we have to give each other the benefit of the doubt.' It has served me well in business as well as in relationships. You don't judge somebody or their actions on what you're feeling but based on the assumption that they have your best intentions in mind and that there was just a lapse in judgment for that moment." He sounds like a keeper to us!
