Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista catapulted to superstardom in the '80s, after she famously chopped off her hair to rock a cut that is now simply referred to as "The Linda." With over 700 magazine covers and dozens of designer collaborations under her belt, her famous Vogue quote, "I don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day," seems justified.
So what does the woman who is widely considered the greatest model of all time regard as the most important beauty product to wear daily? "I'm always going to say wear sunscreen," she told Elle. "We need it for safety purposes and aesthetic purposes. It really prevents damage. I was forced into it over 20 years ago because of my melasma, but I'm a huge sunscreen fan, even in the winter."
Dermatologists recommend using sunscreen every day, not just in the summertime. UVA rays from the sun can cause permanent damage to the skin, even on cloudy days. Constant sun exposure without protection can lead to premature aging and wrinkles.
And while Evangelista admits to splurging on a pizza slice or two occasionally, vegetables are what she sticks to in order to maintain her youthful glow. "I'm not big on fruits myself, but tons of vegetables, tons of grains, flax, hemp, some coconut oil, avocados."
