Makeup artistry experience: 13 years. After working in retail and then in education, she realized she wanted to focus more on artistry and less on sales. "I decided to focus on freelancing," Steffanie explained. It was then that she could dedicate time to fulfilling projects, including working backstage at New York Fashion Week.
Artistry skill she's known for: Steffanie's passion for product development has lead her to whip up her very own formulas like a "mad scientist." When it comes to her finished works, you'll notice unusual composition and color placement, with a focus on dark and romantic looks.
Kat disclosed that while she's quite fond of Steffanie's gothic aesthetic, she really admires how Strazzere can make anything look romantic, even if it's "something of dark nature."
Favorite Kat Von D Beauty product: The entire Everlasting Liquid Lipstick collection ($20). Even Steffanie's 93-year-old grandmother wears them!
Her source of inspiration: Like many in her cohort, Steffanie sees inspiration everywhere, especially in small details. This includes the eyes of her cat, Goblin, which recently motivated her to create a metallic ombré lip look.
Why she was selected for the Kat Von D Beauty Artistry Collective: "Besides my excellent dance moves," she joked, "I believe that Kat felt I had a lot to bring to the table . . . she values my passion for artistry and the equal amount of passion I have to share it with the rest of the world."
