I think we can all relate to having a rogue pimple pop up out of nowhere. Now just imagine if a monster zit appeared the day before a runway or photo shoot where you you had to be ready for your macro close-up! When that happens to Tarah Rodgers, she consults her dermatologist, who zaps them with an LED light.
"It is supposed to help kill the bacteria, and it does work for me," she told us backstage at Cushnie et Ochs. "[My dermatologist] doesn't pop it because that would be too aggressive, but just using the light helps it go away."
She told us she's also tried the cortisone shots and says that method does help to deflate zits, but the skin can get a bit "wrinkly." When she had a pimple pop up a few days before Fashion Week, LED light was her go-to.
