Many of my friends look at my collection of colorful eye shadow palettes and say, "I could never wear that." The truth is anyone can. Makeup is supposed to be fun, and experimenting with colors is one of the joys of playing with the beauty products.

Anyone can rock colorful eye makeup with the right tools, a little confidence, and some inspiration. I decided to wear colorful eye shadow to work to prove that anyone (even you) can sport the trend.

Once you're convinced, you can shop some of the ultracolorful palettes that were recommended on the Sephora Beauty Insider Community by other makeup addicts and a few picks by me.

Day 1: Navy Eyes

Day 1: Navy Eyes

On the first day of my experiment, I decided to really commit. I chose a vivid navy shade and saturated my lids with it. With a pencil brush, I shaped the shadow into a cat-eye shape and blended the edges. I used a neutral beige hue to help me blend out the outer edges of the blue shade. The results were a dramatic look that I was completely obsessed with! I can't wait to wear this look on my next night out.

Day 2: Orange-and-Hot-Pink Crease

Day 2: Orange-and-Hot-Pink Crease

An easy way to pack some punch into your makeup look is by applying color in the crease and outer corners of your eyes. For the second day of my rainbow-eye series, I first applied a neutral, beige hue to the center of my eyelid. To get a sunset-inspired eye look, I applied orange and hot-pink shades to my crease and outer edges and blended with a fluffy brush.

Day 3: Teal Liner

If you don't have a lot of time in the morning (or you just want to hit snooze once . . . or five times) but want to add some vibrancy to your look, swipe a colorful eyeliner under your eyes. Layer a similarly hued shadow on top to ensure it lasts all day!
