Why She Favors a Simple Beauty Routine
PS: Tell us about your morning and nighttime beauty routine.
CT: It depends on the kind of day I had. Honestly, if I get off work at 5 p.m. and I have a full face of makeup on, I'll definitely take it off. But if it's a late night, I never really wash my face — I'll wait until the morning, and then I'll just use my lotion to remove the eye makeup. It's not a recommended skincare routine. I'll use a makeup wipe, but for the most part, I'm not doing a full mask. I just don't really have time for it.
PS: What are your favorite products right now?
CT: I like really simple things. I love Aquaphor — I use it around my nose because it's super dry. There's these Dr. Dennis Gross pads; you'll use one as the first step, and then you wait two minutes to use the second one. They're just really easy to use, and I feel like they really get all the blackheads out. I'm pretty neurotic about those. Otherwise then I'll just use whatever's around. Whatever's closest to my hand in the shower, whether it's John's products . . . anything. I don't think too hard about it.
