Massachusetts

The governor of Massachusetts let the stay-at-home order in the state expire May 18 and spas reopened shortly after.

Michigan

Personal care businesses in Michigan began reopening in early June. This included spas.

Minnesota

Minnesota has allowed spas to reopen with restrictions in place.

Mississippi

Mississippi's stay-at-home order expired on April 27. Spas have have been allowed to reopen with restrictions.

Missouri

Gradual reopenings started in Missouri on May 4. This includes spas, as long as strict restrictions and physical distancing rules are followed.

Montana

Montana's stay-at-home order expired April 26 and like other states, it plans to reopen businesses in phases. As of May 4, spas could reopen as long as social distancing was observed.

Nebraska

Nebraska is one of the few states that never had a stay-at-home order in effect. As of May 4, spas were allowed to reopen with a limited capacity of 10 people, as long as masks are worn.

Nevada

Nevada's stay-at-home order expired on May 9. Spas have been allowed to reopen as of that date.

New Hampshire

New Hampshire has allowed spas to reopen as long as face masks are worn.

New Jersey

New Jersey started reopening in June, but has since paused to contain any further spread of COVID-19. Spas are back in action with restrictions in place.

New Mexico

Spas in most parts of New Mexico have been allowed to open but in areas with a high number of new cases, they have been shut down again.

New York

Aside from New York City, the state has entered phase four of reopening. This allows spas to resume business.

North Carolina

North Carolina's stay-at-home order expired on May 22 but it's unclear if spas have reopened.

North Dakota

North Dakota didn't have a statewide stay-at-home order, and as of May 1, spas have reopened.

Ohio

Ohio's stay-at-home order will expire May 29. This allowed spas to reopen under strict rules.

Oklahoma

As of April 24, spas in Oklahoma were allowed to reopen with some restrictions.

Oregon

Oregon has allowed hair salons to reopen but it's unclear if spas are included in this.

Pennsylvania

As of July 3, all of Pennsylvania was in the last phase of reopening. Because of this, spas has resumed business.

Rhode Island

Rhode Island let its stay-at-home order expire on May 8 and let spas reopen shortly after.

South Carolina

Personal care businesses in South Carolina have reopened, including spas.

South Dakota

No stay-at-home order was ever issued in South Dakota, but spas are required to follow strict guidelines to stay open.

Tennessee

Tennessee reopened close contact services, like spas, on May 6 in select counties.

Texas

The stay-at-home order in Texas expired April 30 and spas were allowed to reopen on May 8.

Utah

Utah did not have a statewide stay-at-home order, but nonessential business were closed temporarily. Spas have been allowed to reopen as of May 1 with social distancing.

Vermont

Vermont's stay-at-home order expired on May 15. Spas resumed business shortly after.

Virginia

Virginia's stay-at-home order expired on June 10 and spas have opened their doors again.

Washington

Washington's stay-at-home order expired on until May 31. Spas have since opened their doors.

West Virginia

West Virginia started reopening businesses in phases. Spas were allowed to reopen in phase two.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin's stay-at-home order lifted on May 13, but it's unclear if spas have been permitted to reopen.

Wyoming

Wyoming is another state without a formal stay-at-home order. Spas were allowed to reopen on May 1 under restrictions.
