This Black-Owned Beauty Brand Is a Breath of Fresh Air For My Dry, Lifeless Curls

The first thing I noticed when applying the Bread Beauty Supply Hair Wash Gentle Milky Hair Cleanser ($20) was its lather . . . and it made me do a double-take of the label. Typically, the sulfate-free shampoos I've used don't offer much in the way of foam — a small price to pay to not have the stripping that often accompanies bubbles — but this cleanser is in fact sulfate-free. In addition to a definite clean feeling, my hair felt more moisturized right after rinsing it out (thanks to argan oil and aloe vera juice).
