Dove Cameron Just Dyed Her Hair a Dark Brown Color For Winter, and She Looks So Different

Looks like Dove Cameron is following the advice of hairstylists everywhere to go darker in the winter. The Descendants star made an appearance at a gala in Los Angeles over the weekend dressed in Gucci with shiny, dark brown hair. Hairstylist Clayton Hawkins and colorist Matt Rez transformed Cameron into a brunette beauty for the event.

While Cameron will always be known as an iconic blonde, this isn't the first time she's traded in her lighter hair. In March of 2021, Cameron shared a photo on Instagram standing at a mic in a recording studio with no makeup on and her hair pulled back in a tight, low bun or ponytail. Although most of her hair was hidden, what we could see was clearly a dark brown shade.

The caption, which read "Finishing touches," didn't address the new hair color, but a few eagle-eyed fans caught the change. Before that, Cameron hadn't dyed her hair in a while, but she's by no means new to the activity. She's dyed her hair hot pink, black, purple, red, and platinum blond over the years. No matter what color she experiments with, she always returns to her golden-blond roots.
