The past year hasn't given us too many reasons to wear eyeshadow. To be honest, considering the amount of time we've been spending at home, we'd be lucky if an occasion called for the use of concealer. Still, that hasn't stopped our already-massive piles of eyeshadow palettes from getting even larger, and one of the latest products to grace the pile is the Luna Magic Desnuda Eyeshadow Palette ($16).

Luna Magic is an indie beauty brand founded in 2019 by two Afro-Latinx sisters who appeared on Shark Tank earlier this year. The brand currently has several products in its roster including the Desnuda eyeshadow palette. The nine-pan palette includes a mix of warm, rusty shades in both matte and metallic finishes, and each color features cute names like "Goddess," "Woman," "Sister," "Lover," and "Friend."

Even with just nine shades, there's a handful of ways you can use the palette from creating a soft, muted look to building on the colors and creating a rusty smoky eye. To give you an idea of how it looks and what can be done with it, we had three editors test it out. Read ahead for the looks we created and our reviews of the Luna Magic Desnuda Eyeshadow Palette.

"As much as I used to be a big eyeshadow person, I haven't been reaching for it much during this extended time at home. However, the Luna Magic Palette is making me want to go back to my old ways. At first glance, it's easy to see the nine-shade palette is stunning, but it wasn't until I actually applied them that I really fell in love. The shades are ultra pigmented but not in that messy, guaranteed-fall-out sort of way. A single swipe deposits a beautiful wash of color, and the powder blends without much effort. I used the shade 'Eccentric' all over my eyelid as a base and blended 'Friend' into my crease for a bit more depth. Then, to finish it off I dabbed a little bit of the golden shimmer hue 'Exotic' into my inner corner. All said and done, it took me fewer than five minutes to create a beautiful eye-makeup look." — Jessica Harrington, beauty editor

"As a person who hasn't always been the biggest fan of metallics, I have to say that I was very impressed with the metallic shades in this palette. Even when testing it, I noticed that a tiny amount of each shade goes such a long way. I can also appreciate the matte colors for how flattering they looked on my skin tone. I loved how I didn't have to work very hard to get the color I used to show up on my skin, and they're buildable so that you can make them appear as subtle or as dramatic as you want them to." — Danielle Jackson, assistant beauty editor

"In full transparency, I can count on two hands the amount of times I wear eyeshadow in a year. When I do moving forward, though, it will be with this palette. Each of the colors are warm and dreamy, and the pigment payoff is out-of-this-world good. Luckily, a little goes a long way: Here I swiped on the orange-brown hue 'Goddess' as a base, then topped it off with the gold-ish metallic hue called 'Exotic' — and while I don't love the latter name, I do love the look." — Kelsey Castañon, beauty director
