Sydney Sweeney Proves "Supermodel" Nails Are Perfect For Spring

Sydney Sweeney is reminding us once more that she is a great source of beauty inspiration, on and off the big screen. The actor posted a behind-the-scenes picture from her Ford x Sydney Sweeney merchandise campaign wearing a simple beauty look punctuated by her "supermodel" nails.

Sweeney's nails were filed into a short, oval shape for a clean, minimal base. To get that authentic '90s "supermodel" look, her fingertips were painted a see-through jelly pink that mimicked the look of her natural nails but with a slightly more opaque finish. She opted to forego any additional nail art, allowing the color to shine on its own.

"Supermodel" manicures were first spotted on runways in the '90s on industry greats like Naomi Campbell. The trend was revived when celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik recreated the manicure on actor Margot Robbie at the Oscars in 2021. Since then, the look has been spotted on everyone from Meghan Markle to Jennifer Lopez.

"Supermodel" pink is a fantastic color to pair with other nail-art trends like french manicures or "Korean-blush" nails, but the color also manages to stand on its own. If you're on the hunt for a my-nails-but-better manicure, take a closer look at Sweeney's nails below.
