Angelina Jolie Tells Kids "Different Is Good" in a Passionate Speech

Angelina Jolie had a big night on Saturday at the Kids' Choice Awards, where she gave an inspiring acceptance speech after winning favorite movie villain for Maleficent. The actress started off by thanking all her fans, saying, "When I was little, like Maleficent, I was told I was different and out of place . . . never good at fitting in." Angelina paused before adding, "And then one day, I realized something, something I hope you all realize: different is good." During the show, Angelina was seen smiling and laughing with her cute dates, daughters Zahara and Shiloh, and the two girls gave their mom a big hug before she walked on stage to accept her award. The show marked her first public appearance since writing a powerful op-ed in The New York Times about her decision to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes in order to prevent ovarian cancer.
