Sorry, I Can't Keep Quiet About Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Dazzling at the AACTA Awards
Whenever Emily Blunt and John Krasinki hit the red carpet together, magic happens. And, no, it's not because Emily played Mary Poppins in the recent Disney remake Mary Poppins Returns — it's because they're just so cute. On Friday, Emily and John looked as lovely as ever at the AACTA International Awards in Los Angeles where Emily was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in A Quiet Place. John, who wrote the hushed thriller and costarred alongside Emily, was also nominated for best screenplay. At the event, Emily donned an orange gown while John spiffed up in a suit.
Their appearance comes shortly after news broke that John began writing the sequel to A Quiet Place. Of course, Emily — who played his wife in the movie — already has some intel on the plot. "I know enough," she teased in an interview with ET. "He's also writing, so he's in that sort of vortex. I'm sure I'll read stuff eventually, but I know the basics."
Emily also opened up to Us Weekly about John's sweet reaction to seeing her as Mary Poppins on the big screen, saying, "It was wonderful to see him that emotional about it, and I think he himself, amongst other people I've spoken to, have said they don't know why they are so emotional about it."
We can expect to see even more adorable moments between the duo when they attend the Golden Globes on Sunday. John will be there to support Emily, who is nominated for best supporting actress in a musical or comedy for Mary Poppins Returns. Until then, check out the pictures of them at the AACTA International Awards ahead!
