Frances McDormand: "Female Nominees in Every Category, Stand With Me"

After her win for best actress for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Frances McDormand gave one seriously inspiring speech! After expressing her true gratitude for her husband and son, Frances placed her Oscar on the floor beside her, saying she wanted to "get some perspective."

That's when she called upon all the female nominees in the audience to stand, creating an inspiring image advocating for more investment in female-driven films. She ended her speech with two words: "inclusion rider," a part of an actor or actress's contract mandating a film put together a diverse roster of talent, both in front of and behind the camera.

In an already inspiring night, Frances's speech was a true rallying cry for what the future of filmmaking should look like.
