It's hard not to "crazy swoon" over Hollywood newcomer Henry Golding, but he almost avoided the movie scene completely. The Crazy Rich Asians star stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Aug. 15 to talk about his new film and revealed he was resistant to join the cast at first. Henry worked as a travel host before being cast as Nick Young and didn't feel experienced enough for the cinematic world.

"They sent, probably three or four emails asking me to audition," Henry told Jimmy. "I was like, 'No, no, no. I'm not an actor. I'm sure there's somebody really amazing, ready for this role, and the studio's not going to game on a newbie or a greenhorn.'"

Fortunately, the film's director, John M. Chu, convinced Henry to reconsider joining the cast, and the rest is history. Watch the video above for more details on Henry's journey to becoming his character, and find out why he was named "Sexual Healer" in his high school's yearbook (it's likely not what you're thinking). Jimmy ended the interview by suggesting Henry could become the next Bond, and now that's something we're going to dream about tonight.
