Jake Gyllenhaal, Longstanding Daddy, Opened Up About Wanting to Become an Actual Father

Our wishes are finally coming true! Jake Gyllenhaal has been the object of our affection and eye candy of our dreams for as long as we can remember, and in a new interview, the 38-year-old actor said he wants to start a family one day. In a sneak peek for his sit-down with Willie Geist on Sunday Today, Jake spoke about his recent Broadway show, Sea Wall/A Life, and its focus on family.

"It's a show about faith and family and the mess and comedy of life, you know?" Jake said in the clip. "It's really actually about two fathers. And about, for my character, someone who's just about to become a father. You know, I am not a father. I do hope to be a father one day." And just like that, men and women around the world simultaneously freaked out at the mere thought of Jake Gyllenhaal, a longstanding daddy, becoming an actual father. Check out the clip from Jake's Sunday Today interview above, which airs on July 28.
