Lily is the daughter of the late actor James Thomson, and she took her stage name to honor her father.

Lily was born on April 5, 1989, making her 29 years old.

Lily grew up in Surrey, and the English actress has already been dubbed "the next Keira Knightley."

Lily has two brothers, one older and one younger, and for her birthday each year, she'd go to London with her parents and her brothers to see a musical.

It's been a quick rise to stardom for the English actress. After she graduated from London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2010, she took on a series of stage roles before appearing in Wrath of the Titans, Fast Girls, and Cinderella.

Lily is dating a fellow Brit: 35-year-old actor Matt Smith.
