Lily-Rose Depp has come out as sexually fluid. The stunning 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis made the announcement via Instagram on Monday, sharing a photo of herself from the Self Evident Truths Project. The concept aims to spread awareness and understanding of the broader spectrum of sexuality and also serves as a photographic record of 10,000 people in the US who identify "anywhere on the LGBTQI spectrum." Lily-Rose also posed with her friend iO Tillett Wright, who is the project's founder. iO shared the sweet snap, writing, "I'm so proud of my baby girl @lilyrose_depp. She decided she wanted to be in @selfevidentproject because she falls somewhere on the vast spectrum, and I couldn't be happier to welcome her to the family. She's a tiny gem of a good human. #prouduncle #weareyou."
Lily-Rose is the latest celebrity to bring attention to the subject of gender and sexual fluidity. Miley Cyrus recently spoke out about her sexual identity in Paper magazine, saying, "I don't relate to being boy or girl, and I don't have to have my partner relate to boy or girl." Orange Is the New Black star Ruby Rose has also inspired more people to educate themselves on gender neutrality with her short film Break Free. She described what the term means to her in an interview: "I cop a fair bit of flak for going from 'such a babe to such a boy,'" adding, "I wanted to share (that) story."
