When Did Miley and Nick Date? The Jonas Brothers Doc Takes Us Back to the Beginning

As Miley documented in her autobiography, Miles To Go, she and Nick first met at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation charity benefit on June 11, 2006. They immediately hit it off and attended a handful of the same events that year, including the Radio Disney Totally 10 birthday concert (pictured above).

Though it's unclear when exactly Miley and Nick started dating, they were clearly pretty serious about each other in 2007. During a visit to Six Flags that June, Miley was spotted with her arms wrapped around Nick in a photo.

Shortly after their fun-filled theme park visit, the Jonas Brothers appeared on the second season of Miley's Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana. The Jonas Brothers even sang with the pop star in "We've Got the Party With Us."

That same month, the Jonas Brothers and Miley presented together during the Teen Choice Awards as they promoted their upcoming Best of Both Worlds Tour.

In October 2007, the Jonas Brothers and Miley embarked on the Best of Both Worlds tour. Though the Jonas Brothers served as the opening act until January 2008, Miley and Nick's relationship ended a month earlier. As Miley detailed in her book, "Prince Charming and I broke up on December 19, 2007. The hardest day ever. My life felt like it had ground to a halt, but the rest of the world kept right on rolling. I was on tour. People were counting on me, but my head — no, my heart — was dizzy."

Following their breakup, the Jonas Brothers and Miley reunited as they attended the premiere of their 3D concert film for the Best of Both Worlds tour. Things between Miley and Nick were clearly still intense as they didn't pose beside each other for any photos and the singer rocked a darker new do.

"At first I bawled for a month straight," Miley told Seventeen about her breakup with Nick. "I was so sad. I just went into this weird funk. And I dyed my hair black. When we were dating, Nick wanted me to get highlights – and so I did that, and I got myself looking great. And then, on the day we broke up, I was like, I want to make my hair black now – I don't want to look pretty; I want to look hard-core. I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be. And then I was like, I've got to be by myself for now, and just figure out who I really am."

Despite their breakup, Miley and the Jonas Brothers were still two of the biggest musical acts on the Disney Channel and, therefore, made a handful of appearances together in the following months. In September 2008, Miley appeared alongside the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato for the City of Hope Benefit Concert in Universal City, CA. That same year, Miley started dating singer Justin Gaston, while Nick was linked to fellow Disney Channel star Selena Gomez.

In June 2009, Miley and Nick detailed their breakup in the Jonas Brothers song "Before the Storm" from their album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times. That same month, Miley made a special appearance at the Jonas Brothers' concert in Dallas as they performed the song live for the first time. Though Nick visited Miley on the set of The Last Song later that month, nothing else became of their relationship as Miley eventually started dating her costar Liam Hemsworth.

During a concert at Radio City Music Hall in 2012, the Jonas Brothers unveiled a new song titled "Wedding Bells" that was rumored to be about Nick wanting a second chance with Miley. The song makes references to Miley and Nick's relationship as well as Miley's engagement to Liam Hemsworth.
