The Jonas Brothers are known for their hit love songs, and quite a few of them are inspired by their actual love lives. While Kevin, Joe, and Nick usually stay away from confirming any speculation that relates to their past romances, they have left more than a few subtle references in their lyrics.

In recent years, though, the brothers have mostly written about their wives. That definitely holds true on their newest album "The Album," which is almost entirely comprised of love songs that are presumably about Danielle Jonas, Sophie Turner, and Priyanka Chopra. One of the songs, though, is addressed to a new object of the brothers' affections — their daughters. Nick and Danielle welcomed daughters Alena Rose and Valentina Angelina in 2014 and 2016 respectively, while Joe and Turner welcomed Willa in 2020 and a baby girl in 2022, and Nick and Chopra welcomed their daughter Malti in 2022.

Still, in addition to playing their new hits, the brothers are revisiting many of their older songs on their latest tour, which kicked off on Aug. 12 — so it's understandable that fans might be wondering about the people that inspired them. Ahead, here's a brief overview of some of the band's most famous songs and the people they were (probably) written about.

Who is the Jonas Brothers' "Paranoid" About?

When this track was first released, many fans theorized that it was a reference to Joe's breakup with Taylor Swift. Swift's breakup track about Joe, "Forever and Always," includes lyrics like "Was I out of line? / Did I say something way too honest? / That made you run and hide like a scared little boy?" The Jonas Brothers' hit song strikes a similar tone with lyrics like "That's why my ex is still my ex / I never trust a word she says / I'm running all the background checks / And she's freaking out."

Who Is the Jonas Brothers' "Much Better" About?

The Jonas Brothers gave another subtle reference to Taylor Swift with their track "Much Better," which is about finding love with someone new after a bad breakup. The lyrics "I get a rep for breakin' hearts / Now I'm done with superstars / And all the tears on her guitar / I'm not bitter" seems like a nod to Swift's hit song, "Teardrops on My Guitar." In 2022, Joe made a small change to the song that seemed to indicate that he and Swift don't have any bad blood. "Now I'm cool with superstars / And all the tears on her guitar," he sang during the brothers' Las Vegas residency, per Teen Vogue. The rest of the song seems to be about actor Camilla Belle, who Joe started dating almost immediately after Swift.
