Darren Criss and Mia Swier Radiate Glamour at Their Socially Distanced Hollywood Premiere

We might not get to see stars walk the red carpet for now, but thanks to Darren Criss, a new way of hosting premiere parties could emerge. On Friday, the 33-year-old actor and his wife, Mia Swier, got all glammed up (and masked up) to celebrate the release of his Netflix show, Hollywood. While Darren sported a tuxedo, Mia modeled a lavish gown with a pink shawl and gloves. Darren shared two Instagram videos of their impromptu gathering, which also featured shots of billboards for the series. "What, you didn't think we'd have our own little premiere party?" Darren captioned the post. "This is HOLLYWOOD, darling." We've seen many celebrities get creative during the coronavirus outbreak, but this Hollywood premiere definitely stands out.

In the series, Darren plays aspiring director Raymond Ainsley, a fictional character — unlike some of the show's other personalities. Darren also helped inspire the show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Darren and Hollywood creator Ryan Murphy thought of the premise at dinner after winning an award for their collaboration on FX's The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. "One thing I told Darren that night was that after Versace, I was interested in doing something much more inspirational and with a happy ending," Ryan told THR. Not only did we get a great show out of their conversation, but we got another sweet moment between Darren and Mia.
