Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Sweet Throwbacks For Daughter Apple's 19th Birthday: "I Can't Take It"

Happy birthday, Apple Martin! The first daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin turned 19 on May 14. Paltrow celebrated Apple on her big day with an Instagram gallery of photos of her daughter, including an adorable throwback pic. The Goop founder paid tribute to her eldest child in the caption.

"Happy Birthday my angel," she began. "Thank you for sharing your birthday this year with Mother's Day, a fitting conjugation, a double celebration of you and what you have given to me- the GIFT of being your mom." The Oscar winner continued, "I love you so deeply and wholly, it defies articulation. To behold you as a 19 year old woman fills my heart with almost unbearable love, pride and meaning! I can't take it! Thank you for making me brunch, I am making you dinner!! I love you so much, forever and ever, mama."

Apple wrote in the comments, "I love you so much mama. You are the best mother and woman I know." Since Apple's birthday fell on Mother's Day this year, Paltrow also wished her mom Blythe Danner a happy mother's day on her Instagram Story and shared a photo of her mom with Apple and her brother Moses, 17.

Paltrow and ex-husband Chris married in December 2003. Apple was born the next May. The pair split in 2014, and their divorce announcement popularized the term "conscious uncoupling." But the parents remain close and dedicated to their two teens. Apple, meanwhile, just wrapped up her freshman year at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Earlier this May, Paltrow's interview on the podcast "Call Her Daddy" went viral, thanks in part to her opening up about her past relationships with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck — and her sex life. Apple posted a funny response to her mom's TMI quotes on Instagram.
