Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan Cleared Up Those Engagement Rumors Once and For All

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are headed to the altar, just not quite yet. Back on Aug. 16, 32-year-old Marcus, who is Michael Jordan's second-oldest child, kicked off speculation the pair were engaged when he told a TMZ videographer while leaving a West Hollywood restaurant that a wedding was "in the works" for him and 49-year-old Pippen. "We're looking for a location," he added.

Pippen and Marcus clarified his comments in the Aug. 21 episode of their podcast, "Separation Anxiety," with Pippen sharing, "We're not engaged, but you did give me a promise ring." Marcus responded, "I definitely gave you a promise ring," adding that they're in no hurry to walk down the aisle because it's not a "priority" at the moment. "The only thing we've come up with is that we want a destination wedding," Pippen concluded.

Pippen and Marcus were first linked in September 2022, and they made things Instagram official in January. Since then, they've posted a number of cute photos together. In several recent pictures, Pippen appears to be wearing a large ring on her left ring finger, which we now know is a promise ring.

In July 2023, Marcus and Pippen's relationship made waves when a TMZ photographer asked Michael if he approved of his son's relationship with Pippen. "No," Michael replied. Marcus and Pippen later addressed his father's comment in a July episode of their podcast "Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan," and Marcus clarified that his dad's statement was a joke. "I know my dad, and obviously my whole family, we're so competitive. Part of our DNA is to talk sh*t — it gets us going and gets us motivated," he said. "And when I saw it immediately I thought, 'He's playing. He's joking, he's laughing. He's just being playful.'" Meanwhile, Pippen admitted that she was "embarrassed" by the whole thing, while Marcus insisted that his dad has nothing against them as a couple.

Before dating Marcus, Pippen was married to NBA star Scottie Pippen, who was Michael's teammate for nearly 10 years during their time playing for the Chicago Bulls. She shares three children with Scottie, whom she separated from in 2016, according to E! News.
