Kate Hudson Shows a Bit of Skin For the Wish I Was Here Screening

Zach Braff and Kate Hudson stuck close on the red carpet at the NYC screening of their film Wish I Was Here on Monday. Zach suited up in gray, while Kate showed some stomach in a strapless black cutout dress. They shared a laugh and posed for photos together before being joined by the rest of the cast: Joey King, Ashley Greene, Josh Gad, and Zach's BFF Donald Faison, who has a small part in the movie as a luxury car salesman. The premiere also brought out Chris Rock, James Franco, and Girls star Allison Williams as well as President Fitz himself, Scandal's Tony Goldwyn.

Zach and Kate play a married couple in the flick, which centers around a struggling actor trying to provide for his family while also dealing with the impending death of his father (played by Mandy Patinkin). It's the first project that Zach has written and directed since 2004's Garden State, and it came together with the help of fans and supporters via Kickstarter campaign. We spoke with Zach recently about his triumphant return to filmmaking and how he convinced his friend Kate Hudson to work with him for the first time, saying, "Forget all the bullsh*t. Forget the glam squad; no makeup, your [curly] hair. Come and just be you and be great." Keep reading to see all the photos from the NYC screening of Wish I Was Here.
