We couldn't get through the night without a few tears. Sam Smith's performance was emotionally charged, as usual, and Selena Gomez's "The Heart Wants What It Wants" was heart-wrenching.
Back in the audience, Taylor Swift just had a lot of feelings. Also, she won the first ever Dick Clark Award For Excellence!

One moment you probably did see, though, was Brantley Gilbert's sweet smooch with his fiancée, Amber Cochran. You probably need to see it again anyway.
