When She "Showed Her Belly Button After Promising Not To"

  • The Rumor: In an interview with Lucky magazine, Taylor explained why she doesn't really like showing off her belly button. "I don’t like showing my belly button. When you start showing your belly button then you’re really committing to the midriff thing."
  • Taylor's Response: Well, after Taylor posted this photo from her Hawaiian vacation, there was an "outcry" about her exposed navel. She had a good reason to post it, though: she was trying to thwart the paparazzi. In a radio interview with Nick Grimshaw, she explained how the paps got a few bikini snaps: "We go back to the beach, and we realize, ‘OK, so they got pictures of us in our bikinis . . . So we’re like, ‘Get up on the bow of the boat, we’re taking better bikini shots, so they don’t make as much money on theirs.'"
