Swift begins the tour for her 2012 album, "Red." Included in the tour's dancers are Lockhart Brownlie, Leah Adler, and Scott Myrick, who all toured with Perry on her California Dreams tour in 2011. At the end of 2012, they auditioned for and booked a spot with Swift. This became the root of the feud.
