6 Celebrity Exes Who Reunited on Golden Globes Night

With the slew of celebrity breakups that happened last year and the handful of high-profile events happening this award season, we're bound to see some awkward run-ins between former couples. At Sunday night's Golden Globes, we were treated to the idea of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams meeting up, as well as Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's potential catch-up conversation during an afterparty. And while rumors of a hookup between Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry circulated at one bash, we also got a glimpse of exes Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult chatting it up during one of the show's commercial breaks. Keep reading to see the former flames who probably weren't able to avoid each other.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

The former Vampire Diaries costars and couple have kept things pretty friendly since their 2013 split, with Nina recently speaking out about Ian's "beautiful" wedding to Nikki Reed, saying, "They look happy and I am happy." Ian arrived at the InStyle and Warner Bros. afterparty with his wife, while Nina showed up solo — she is currently dating actor Austin Stowell. There are no photos of them together, though we like to think the three of them had a cute convo at some point in the night.

Orlando Bloom, Selena Gomez, and Nina Dobrev

Orlando Bloom was rumored to have hooked up with both Selena and Nina in 2015, and all three of them were at the InStyle and Warner Bros bash. He and the stunning singer reportedly started getting cozy in March and were spotted hanging out as late as July — they also got wrapped up in a bizarre love square (?) that also involved their exes Justin Bieber and Miranda Kerr and resulted in a nightclub brawl. Yeesh.

Orlando and Nina, however, were seen "making out for 20 minutes" at Comic-Con in July. Needless to say, this may have been one awkward evening.

Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult

Jennifer Lawrence won a Golden Globe Award, but she also won the attention of her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. The two, who dated on and off before splitting in 2014, were spotted chatting during one of the show's commercial breaks. LA Times reporter Amy Kaufman snapped a photo of their encounter, writing, "Yes, that's JLaw talking to ex Nicholas Hoult during the first commercial break. #GoldenGlobes."

Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth

Orlando and Kate, who dated on and off from 2003 to 2006, both attended the Weinstein afterparty; Orlando was obviously solo, while Kate arrived with husband Michael Polish. The two seem to be on good terms, as they were photographed looking chummy at a cocktail event in September 2015.
