People confirmed that Pattinson and Waterhouse first started dating in 2018 after they were spotted showing some PDA in London. They, too, have only shared a few glimpses of their relationship over the years, occasionally making public appearances for date nights and birthdays.
Pattinson reluctantly spoke on their relationship for the first time in 2019 during an interview with The Sunday Times. "If you let people in, it devalues what love is," he explained. "If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you'd think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall it ends better."
However, it seems he's gotten better about teasing their romance amid "The Batman" press tour. During his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last month, the actor mentioned that he and Waterhouse watched "The Batman" for the first time together and said her reaction to the film "kind of changed the entire thing." "I'm pretty sure she's not normally into watching superhero movies," he added. "Just seeing that it was capturing her attention the entire time, and then she held my hand and touched it [to her face] and I could feel a little tear. And I was like, 'No way!'"
