Carrie Underwood Shines Bright Like the Star She Is at CMT Artists of the Year Event

It was an incredibly big night for Carrie Underwood at the CMT Artists of the Year event in Nashville on Wednesday night. In addition to hitting the red carpet with The Final Five's Aly Raisman and Madison Kocian, the singer presented Shania Twain with the artist of a lifetime award and took the stage for an amazing performance of her hit song "Like I'll Never Love You Again." Carrie, who attended the show with husband Mike Fisher, was honored for the fourth consecutive time for her success in country music over the last 12 months. At the end of the show, Carrie shared a snap of her and Mike backstage on Instagram, gushing, "How I ended up snagging this handsome hunk, I'll never know, but I thank God that I did! I don't know what I'd do without him!" The 2016 CMT Artists of the Year special is set to air on Oct. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on CMT.
