The Beautiful Reason Celebrities Wore Blue Ribbons at the Emmys

Stars stepped out in style for the Emmys on Sunday, and aside from looking gorgeous, we couldn't help but notice one of the night's most notable accessories: a blue ribbon. Several celebrities, including Padma Lakshmi, Judith Light, and Matt Walsh, wore the blue ribbon in support of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The ACLU is a civil rights organization that works to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the US. The organization has also been fighting against Donald Trump's Muslim ban, and the ribbons are from the ACLU's "Stand With ACLU" initiative. Of course, this isn't the first time stars have showed their solidarity. Earlier this year, a handful of stars wore the blue ribbon to the Oscars. Keep reading to see all the stars who are making a political statement at the Emmys.
