The resorts of Méribel and Courchevel in the French Alps have both been visited by William and Kate in recent years. Although William grew up splitting his time between Klosters with his father and Lech with his mother, he now seems to favor Méribel, which has always been the Middletons' favorite ski spot. He has been there with his in-laws on more than one occasion, and Kate returned for sister Pippa's bachelorette party in 2017.
William and Kate chose nearby Courchevel in 2016 for their first ski trip with George and Charlotte, where they posed for pictures at Chalet Lalisa. The couple ate at cozy chalet-style restaurant Le Pilatus, the superpricey La Soucoupe, and the mountain-top La Cave de Creux.
